Sustainability at Vinci Play is a process of continuous improvement. For years, the Recycled playground series has set the standard for eco-friendly recreational infrastructure, combining environmental care with durability and safety.
Today, we are taking another step forward. We are introducing a new generation of structural composite posts made from 100% recycled materials. Alongside superior technical parameters, this upgrade offers a brand-new, exceptionally pleasant-to-the-touch surface texture.
A new generation of composite posts
Composite posts have long been the backbone of the Recycled series, serving as a durable alternative to timber and steel. The latest iteration focuses on two key areas of development:
Materials
The composite is made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled raw materials - specifically 60% recovered textile fibers and 40% recycled plastics. This combination provides high rigidity and structural strength, thanks to the evenly dispersed fibers acting as micro-reinforcements.
Surface
The post surfaces now feature a subtle, tactile finish. Children enjoy a more comfortable grip and contact with structural elements while climbing and playing, enhancing their overall experience.
Importantly, this new texture does not compromise the technical properties of the material. Laboratory testing confirms that the posts maintain their high performance in terms of strength and durability.
Durability, safety, and low operational costs
The new generation of composite provides playground buyers and project managers with clear, tangible benefits:
Zero need for painting, sealing, or ongoing maintenance throughout its lifespan. The result is a solution that is robust, safe, and cost-effective over time.
The hallmark of responsible recycling
Subtle variations in the surface texture are a natural result of using recycled inputs. They stem from the textile fibers that retain their structure during manufacturing, giving each composite post a unique character.
Every profile also undergoes a specialized brushing process that applies an attractive matte finish. The resulting microstructure serves as authentic proof of secondary raw material use, without affecting functional performance.
Consistent sustainability across the entire recycled series
The new composite posts are part of a holistic approach to sustainable product design. Structural panels, roofs, and play modules are manufactured from HDPE plates made from discarded fishing nets and ropes. Meanwhile, all wooden components - including waterproof plywood and Robinia pseudoacacia timber - are sourced from certified suppliers committed to responsible forestry.

Introducing this next generation of composite posts represents another milestone in Vinci Play’s commitment to a circular economy. By specifying the Recycled series, project owners gain long-lasting, safe equipment while actively diverting textile and plastic waste from landfills and reducing CO₂ emissions.
